Shipping & Returns

Shipping
 
All of our ready-to-order handmade pens and wooden items are ready to ship.  We try to have orders shipped within 48 hours.  Lead times can vary, especially during the holiday season. Please make sure your address is correct to avoid shipping delays.  All of our orders are shipping via USPS First Class mail and typically takes 3-4 days to arrive after you receive the tracking email.  We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages.  We currently do not offer international shipping.
 
Turnaround time for custom handmade pens will depend on how long it takes to receive your materials to create the pen(s). Fill out our custom handmade pen inquiry form to get more information and a precise estimate.
 
 
Returns & Refunds
 
We want you to love what you ordered. If something isn’t right, here’s how we handle returns, refunds, and exchanges.
 
 
Return Window
 
We accept returns within 30 days of your purchase date. After 30 days, we are unable to offer a refund or exchange.

Return Eligibility
 
To be eligible for a return, your item must meet all of the following:
  • Unused and in its original condition
  • In its original packaging
  • Accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase

 

Partial refunds may be granted for:

  • Items not in original condition, or damaged/missing parts due to reasons not caused by our error
 
Non-returnable items:
  • Gift cards
 
 
Refunds
 
Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll email you to confirm receipt and let you know whether your refund has been approved or declined.
 
If approved, your refund will be issued to your original payment method. Processing time varies by bank or card issuer, but please allow a few business days for the credit to appear.
 
If you haven’t received your refund after several days, we suggest checking your bank account, then contacting your credit card company, and then your bank — there is often a short processing delay on their end. If you’ve done all of that and still haven’t received it, reach out to us at vern@vernmaakes.com.
 
 
Exchanges
 
We replace items only if they are defective or damaged upon arrival. Once an order has been processed and shipped, we cannot accommodate changes to color, type, or preference.

Return Shipping
 
Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs. Original shipping and handling fees are non-refundable. If a refund is issued, a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
 
For items valued over $75, we strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee receipt of returned items.
 
Delivery time for exchanged products will vary depending on your location. We appreciate your patience.
